Summary: The purpose of this Draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) is to evaluate environmental consequences that would result from the construction and operation of the Aquatic Center at Northgate High School. As required by Section 15126 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines, this IS/MND addresses those issues which have been identified as having potentially significant impacts due to the proposed project: aesthetics, air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, geology and soils, greenhouse gas emissions, hazards and hazardous materials, hydrology and water quality, noise, public services, recreation, transportation/traffic, and utilities and service systems.

A draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared and made available for public review.
