Summary: Mt. Diablo High School's International Hospitality and Tourism Academy is requesting permission to travel to Portland, OR, May 8-12, 2019. Fifteen students and 2 chaperones will be traveling by plane and staying at a local hotel. During their stay in Portland, they will be visiting colleges, a local farm, Farmer's markets, Museums and Nike headquarters, in addition to visiting a local high school and elementary school that have culinary programs.
Funding: Through fundraising and parent donations. The trip is anticipated to cost $10,000 and all expenses will be paid by Mt. Diablo High School's Home Economic and Food & Science Education accounts.
