On May 10, 2011 the Board of Education approved budget allocations to each of the six(6) comprehensive high schools in the amount of $1.5 million each as well as an allocation of $150,000 to Olympic High School. Funding for these allocations was identified as coming from a blending of funds including Developer Fee Funds, Proposition 55 Funding, 2002 Measure C Funds and 2010 Measure C Funds. Based on this 5/10/2011 Board action each site administrator has since met with their respective site councils and developed a prioritized itemization of facility needs. District staff has reviewed these needs, defined scope and established cost estimates for each of these identified project/procurement items. Staff is now requesting authorization to proceed with the implementation of the prioritized facility enhancement projects and procurements. Projects and procurements will be advanced from these project lists to an expenditure amount not to exceed $1.5 million.
A project list for Olypic High School will be brought to the Board for approval at a subsequent board meeting.
