Summary: Students at Woodside Elementary School will participate in the Outdoor Education Program at the YMCA Camp Loma Mar January 24-27, 2012. Because several schools contract with Exploring New Horizons, total costs exceed $25,000, therefore Board approval is required.

Woodside was originally scheduled to attend Camp Loma Mar the first week of May 2012. During the last week of October the Camp contacted Woodside to inform them that they would have to reschedule to January 2012. The school did not receive the contract until the last week of November. Parents and staff at Woodside quickly responded to coordinate the new dates. Due to the winter break, we weren't able to process the contract and bring it to the Board for approval until this meeting.
Funding: Parent Donations
Fiscal Impact The Outdoor Education Program is self-supporting.
