Summary: Under Interagency Agreement #29-513-15, MDUSD provides funding to Contra Costa County to provide school based Mental health and Crisis Intervention services to designated students, and their families, who are enrolled in Special Education and General Education programs.

County’s obligations include:

- Contracting with Fred Finch Youth Center to provide school-wide Mental Health services to students who attend Bel Air Elementary, El Dorado Middle, Mt. Diablo High and their families.

- Using contract funds to expand services to youths who are not eligible for Medi-Cal benefits.

- Contracting with Seneca Family of Agencies to provide three SDC classes at Riverview, three mental health enhanced classrooms at Pleasant Hill Middle, and four mental health classrooms at Glenbrook Middle.

- Contracting with Families First/EMQ to provide mental health services at Mt. Diablo High.

- Contracting with MDUSD under Interagency Agreement #74-371 to provide mental health services at Sunrise Elementary, Alliance, and Fair Oaks Wrap Clinic.

- Hiring and supervising 1.0 FTE Program Supervision and one 0.50 FTE Program Manager to provide supervision for the above programs.

- Hiring and supervising a Patient Accounts Specialist to assist with Medi-Cal eligibility.
Funding: Program 1652 - In-House Mental Health Collaborative - Operating
Fiscal Impact The contract amount for the 2013-2014 fiscal year is $983,111 and is a budgeted expense in the 13-14 budget.
Recommendation: Approve Interagency Agreement #29-513-15 with Contra Costa County Mental Health Services Division.
