On February 26, 2014, the Board took action on the recommendation regarding the termination of certificated employees due to the reduction or elimination of particular kinds of service.
Based on that action, it was determined that 54.25 FTE would receive preliminary layoff notices. This number included members from both Mt. Diablo Education Association (MDEA) and Diablo Managers Association (DMA). Since the February 26, 2014 meeting, all notices of layoff for MDEA unit members have been rescinded for the 2014-15 school year.
No notices were rescinded for the DMA members. Therefore, 3.0 FTE and positions will be eliminated and the appropriate individuals will receive final layoff notices.
