Summary
:
Staff requests authorization to submit a grant to the California Department of Education for the Enhancing Education Through Technology Competitive (EETT-C) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant to support 7th through 12th grade students. These funds are intended to meet three goals:
1. To enhance college and career readiness programs and/or to improve high school graduation rates;
2. To improve student achievement, that can be widely implemented as best practices by State Educational Agencies and district; and
3. To provide professional development as an important part of the comprehensive education technology program. A minimum of 25 percent of the total grant award must be spent in this area.
MDUSD is eligible to apply for $500,000 for one year.
