Summary:

Given the fact that the Measure C heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) project for Strandwood Elementary is scheduled for the spring/summer 2013, staff is recommending that the District leverage this construction opportunity and arrange for the removal and infill the non-functional and failing skylight/louver systems in Wing A and B in coordination with the planned HVAC project.
Staff has negotiated a 'not to exceed' contract for $16,400.00 with Charles Ham Associates for the provision of comprehensive architecural and engineering services necessary for the satisfactory installation and certification of all specified skylight system and louver removal work.
