Summary
:
Staff request authorization to enter into a contract with Ambrose Recreation & Park District (ARPD) to provide recreation staff and supervision for the five Mt. Diablo CARES After School Program schools in Bay Point and Pittsburg (Bel Air, Delta View, Rio Vista and Shore Acres Elementary and Riverview Middle). APRD has served as a recreation partners since 1999. APRD will also provide garden staff and supervision for the Bay Point School Garden located at Riverview Middle School.
Funding

Funding is provided by the California Department of Education’s After School Education and Safety (ASES) grant and the U.S. Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant.
Fiscal Impact
:
The contract is for $935,312 for 2010-11. There is no impact to the general fund.
