Summary
:
Staff recommends approval of a Cooperative Contract with the Department of Rehabilitation to provide vocational rehabilitation services through a Transition Partnership Program (TPP). This program would benefit Mt. Diablo Unified School District students who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and have graduated with a diploma from high school.
The Transition Partnership Program will prepare students with skills necessary to secure and maintain competitive employment in alignment with their Individual Plan for Employment (IPE). The Department of Rehabilitation has hired a counselor to work with the MDUSD WorkAbility I staff to ensure the students receive employment preparation, job development, job placement and follow up post high school. There is no cost to Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
