Summary
:
Due to the difficulty in hiring qualified Educational Interpreters for the Deaf, the district has had to use staff contracted through an agency in order to meet student Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements. There are currently limited substitutes available in the district for Educational Interpreters for the Deaf so contracted interpreters are also used as substitutes for absent district staff. This contract is not to exceed $400,000.
