Summary: At the Board of Education meeting held December 11,2013, the Board approved the purchase of 12 new buses. This approved purchase was part of a three year bus replacement program.
This purchase order is for the second phase of the three year program. In order to have delivery of these units prior to the start of the 2014-15 school year the Purchase Order must be submitted. The funding will not be released until 2014-15 budget year.
Pricing for these units would be on the "piggyback" bid from Waterford School District.
Funding: Special Ed. Transportation 0929 , 2014-15 school year.
Fiscal Impact $1,174,057.68. $155,868.00 annually for seven years at 2.3% interest.
Recommendation: Approve the purchase order request to A to Z Bus Sales.
