Summary: On June 3, 2013, the Board of Education awarded a Lease/Lease-back Agreement for MDUSD Project #1637 with Diamond Painting Co. KK. for a Guaranteed Maximum Project Cost of $225,000.00 for 3 Elementary Schools MDUSD Project # 1637 Paint Package #1 at Bel Air Elementary School, Shore Acres Elementary School and Rio Vista Elementary School.

As a result of the need for: 1) Excessive Prep work due to flaking stucco and patch for the MU and various walls at Shore Acres Elementary school; 2) Return of un-used contingency fund, staff is recommending a single, final DEDUCTIVE change order in the amount of ($5,290.00). This single, final change order constitutes the return of approximately 79% of contingency and .65% contract changes and will result in a final contract value of $219,710.00.
