Summary: On October 9, 2013 the Board of Education awarded competitive bid #1645 to Taber Construction, Inc. for $836,430.00 for provision of all tools, materials, labor and equipment necessary to complete Stadium Lighting Project at Ygnacio Valley High School. Work included, but was not limited to, new masonry sound wall, conduit, wire, installation of field lighting, and modifications as required by DSA approved plans and specifications.

On February 26, 2014 as part of the resolution accepting final Environmental Impact Report for the Ygnacio Valley High School Sports Field Lighting Project Board of Education approved an intermediate change order for the “not to exceed” amount of $58,527.00. This intermediate change order included installation of landscape and irrigation. Other items included in the intermediate change order were removal of contaminated soil and addition of electrical conduit.

Staff has received and negotiated the “not to exceed” amounts from Taber Construction resulting in, a single, final deductive change order in the amount of ($7,626.00). As a result this final change order will result in a revised contract price of $887,331.00 an increase of 6.09% to the original contract value.
