On April, 4, 2016, the Board held a study session to discuss remaining 2010 Measure C projects and potential future bond sale.
One high priority project identified was Measure C work previously de-scoped at Holbrook Elementary School. On September 26, 2016, the Board passed resolution 16/17-12, authorizing the sale of 2010 Measure C bond Series G. The authorized sale was completed in November 2016 and available to fund additional District projects.
The purpose of this item is to initiate discussion, prioritize and prepare for allocation of funding on potential projects related to the Series G sale.
Site input was requested to identify potential capital improvement needs at all District sites. As can be expected, the projects varied greatly. Projects were also considered based on several factors including: safety, facility need and to whether they enhance the educational experience of our students now and well into the future.
Projects are intended to continue District goal towards quality education and safety for local students by improving science, career and technical education facilities; upgrading classroom instructional technology; improving safety; maximizing efficiency; and repairing, replacing, equipping or modernizing other school facilities.
At this time, staff is presenting a list of potential projects for Board consideration and direction for allocation of remaining bond funds under the 2010 Measure C program.
