Summary:
|
AP Physics C Mechanics is meant to be equivalent to the first term of the Physics for Scientists and Engineers course taken by physics, chemistry, and engineering students at a college or university. Currently, Mt. Diablo High School is the only high school in the district offering AP Physics C. Last March, the Board adopted the course of study for this course. The teacher of the course has piloted possible texts for the course. After a thorough review of three appropriate texts, along with their supplemental materials options, Physics for Scientists and Engineers with Modern Physics, Pearson, 4th edition, has been identified as the recommended text for the course.
