Summary: Pursuant to Article 39 of the Contractual Agreement between Mt. Diablo Unified School District and Public Employees Union, Local One, Maintenance, Operations and Facilities, Transportation, Warehouse, Food and Nutrition Services, Technology and Information Services Units, a reclassification review has been completed for classification submitted by the Local One, M&O Unit.

Based on this review, it is being recommended that two (2) existing Computer Systems Technician positions (Range 488) be reclassified to Technology Customer Help Desk Technician Range 516).

The job duties have evolved from providing service regarding the now defunct Osiris student information system to assisting with the implementation of the present Aeries system. The individuals disseminate information on how to use Aeries correctly which impacts the accuracy of the data that is used to complete District and state reports.

The reclassifications will be effective July 1, 2010.
Funding: General Fund
Fiscal Impact The total annual cost to the General Fund will be $10,465.00 for 2010-11 fiscal year.
Recommendation: Approve reclassification of classified positions as presented.
