Summary: College Park High School is requesting permission to travel to Washington DC, with 69 Concert Band and Wind Ensemble students and 8 chaperones. Students will be staying at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn in Arlington, Virginia, and use charter buses to travel while in DC. The trip will include a performance in the Capital, a University clinic, high school exchange along with the rich history of Washington, DC.
Funding: Fundraising by College Park Instrumental Music Booster (CPIMB). Trip is expected to cost $131,400 and all expenses will be paid directly by CPIMB.
Fiscal Impact No impact to the District's budget.
Recommendation: Approve College Park High School's trip to Washington, DC, April 5-10, 2017.
