Summary:
|
Mt. Diablo Adult Education (MDAE), a Division of Mt. Diablo Unified School District seeks Governing Board approval to enter into a revised MOU with Martinez Adult Education (MAE) fiscal agent for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Federal Grant Contra Costa County Consortium for 2019-2020.
In November 2019, the California Department of Education (CDE) revised their standard MOU template required of all Carl D. Perkins Grant Regional Consortia Local Education Agency (LEA) members. The revision reflects federal updating of language relative to and referencing recent re-authorization changes of the grant known as Perkins V signed into law July 31, 2018. As a result, CDE is now requiring mid-year, all LEA members of the Contra Costa County Carl D. Perkins Grant Consortium provide newly-signed 2019-2020 MOUs.
On June 10, 2019, the MDUSD Governing Board approved and on June 12, 2019, former Superintendent Nellie Meyer, ED.D signed the current MOU 2019-2020 in place. MDAE returned to MAE who in turn forwarded it to CDE. Attached is the updated MOU for 2019-2020 provided by CDE.
