Summary
:
An Update of the Title III Plan is necessary to continue to receive federal funding for English Learners. This new requirement came from CDE due to federal oversight of CA monitoring of schools receiving Title III funding.
The goals of Title III for English Learners are: 1. to achieve English language proficiency and 2. To meet the same high academic standards required of all students.
