Summary
:
The Brandman University School Counseling program offers a program in school counseling for graduate students who wish to pursue a career counseling children and adolescents in K-12 public schools. Brandman graduate students are eligible to receive a California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling (PPS) upon completing coursework and fieldwork requirements. The program is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and meets all requirements of the California State Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
If approved, Brandman School Counseling Interns will be eligible to participate in field experience at designated District schools. Field experience provides the opportunity for counseling interns to learn and practice the functions of school counselors. Counseling interns will function under the supervision of a Brandman Fieldwork Instructor and a District Administrator or Student Services Coordinator with a PPS credential.
