Summary: In 2016-17, transportation costs went from a flat rate for all athletic trips and field trips to a cost per mile and per hour. The fluctuation in actual miles and hours has not allowed the sites to accurately budget for each trip.
Transportation proposes returning to a fixed cost standardization for each trip to allow sites to better plan expenses when requesting a district bus for athletics and field trips.
