Summary:

Staff requests authorization to accept the Kaiser grant for $14,000. The Kaiser grant supports youth in the Bay Point After School Programs through the implementation of the Summer Teen Garden Corp at the Bay Point Garden. Previously Kaiser supported the Garden Project with $10,000 in funding. This school year, Kaiser has increased the support to $14,000 which will be used to purchase supplies for gardening and cooking, digital cameras, photo journals, and assist with Teen Corp stipends and garden educator expenses. |

The contract is for $14,000. There is no unrestricted general fund contribution requirement. Funding from the After School Education and Safety (ASES) and the Network for Healthy California grants also support these services. Program codes 3871 and 3160. |
