Summary:
Food and Nutrition requests approval to issue an open Purchase order to Gold Star Foods for the purchase of food, beverages and supplies for meal programs in district schools during, the 2012-2013 year. Purchase order not to exceed $2,913,420.00. This agreement incorporating Piggy Back contract with Santa Clarita Valley School Food Service Agency proposal RFP # 11-12-31012012-01 for the 2012-2013 school year (documentation attached).  
Funding:
Cost to be covered by Cafeteria Fund.  
Fiscal Impact:
There is no impact to the General Fund. Projected expense not to exceed $2,913,420.00 for the 2012-2013 year.
