Summary:
An open purchase order to the Department of Justice for the cost of fingerprinting employees and volunteers was approved by the Board at the August 11, 2009 meeting for $73,000. Due to the increased demand for fingerprinting, the District has exceeded that amount. In order to finish out the school year, we are requesting to increase this amount by $52,000 to bring the total purchase order amount to $125,000.

The District is reimbursed the cost of fingerprinting by new employees and volunteers.

Fiscal Impact:
A General Fund expenditure of $73,000 has already been budgeted. This will increase the amount by $52,000 to a total of $125,000.  
Recommendation
Approve increase in the amount of the open purchase order to the Department of Justice from $73,000 to $125,000.
